Verses that show that God is with you.
Nothing conveys us more security than knowing that God is with us. When we have this notion, everything becomes easier because we know that we are not alone.
God is always with us, with open arms to receive us, but the problem is that we are often not with Him. We often turn away from God, we turn our backs and do not know why things in our life do not go well.
But if God is with me, why do bad things happen?
The fact that God is with us does not mean that we will never have afflictions. Sometimes we will go through difficulties, but that does not mean that God has abandoned us. In the midst of challenges and afflictions, God is present and helps us endure. When we persevere in the bad times, we gain maturity and grow in our spiritual life.
God is with you, what the Bible says:
9 Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the LORD thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest. Joshua 1:9
10 Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness. Isaiah 41:10
20 Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen. Matthew 28:20
5 Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee. Hebrews 13:5
6 Be strong and of a good courage, fear not, nor be afraid of them: for the LORD thy God, he it is that doth go with thee; he will not fail thee, nor forsake thee. Deuteronomy 31:6
38 For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come,
39 Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord. Romans 8:38,39
16 Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you? 1 Corinthians 3:16
20 Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me. Revelation 3:20
20 And I will make thee unto this people a fenced brasen wall: and they shall fight against thee, but they shall not prevail against thee: for I am with thee to save thee and to deliver thee, saith the LORD. Jeremiah 15:20
17 That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love, Ephesians 3:17
5 There shall not any man be able to stand before thee all the days of thy life: as I was with Moses, so I will be with thee: I will not fail thee, nor forsake thee.
6 Be strong and of a good courage: for unto this people shalt thou divide for an inheritance the land, which I sware unto their fathers to give them. Joshua 1:5,6
12 And the angel of the LORD appeared unto him, and said unto him, The LORD is with thee, thou mighty man of valour. Judges 6:12

Where were you born? Do you know the history of England?

I was born and grew up in Africa. I moved to England after I got married 8 years ago. Don’t really know the history of England

Some monarchs, like Queen Mary, were Catholic, and made great persecution to the Protestants, that did not align with Rome.

Oh yeah I know the monarchy had issues with Protestants. Hence the ‘dominant’ church in England is the Church of England (Anglican church).

So, in one of Bridget’s lyrics, she says,
“Queen Mary is my friend.”
What do you think it means?

Oh not what she is on about. But I’m thinking she is referring to Mary 1 who was nicknamed Bloody Mary because of how aggressive she was to restore Roman Catholicism in England

Hi Carlos. I have listened to the song. To be honest i’m not very comfortable with the lyrics. As per her reference to queen Mary, i’m still not very sure what she meant by referring to her as she didn’t make it clear in her song. But yeah, not a fan of the lyrics to be honest.

You know, I analyze what is said, what is written, and I try to read between the lines, to understand the truth. And I do this in relation to everything. What I do not understand, the Lord shows me why He is the Truth.
In this way, I try to be pertinent in relation to the things that interest me and the opinions of people. This it’s a study, too.
But tell me, what does not please you, on the lyrics?

For me, the lyrics didn’t lift my spirit. There is a line where she says “make love like a woman” and I really aren’t drawn to songs with words like that. Again it’s just my own personal conviction. Pray about it and allow he Holy Spirit lead you bro.

Thank you for your attention, Sis!
I try to understand to position myself.
I am sure that the Lord will allow me to understand, according to His Truth.

Hard won maturity yet infinitely worth it (yet it is Jesus carrying me), I don’t win by my own effort but I MUST choose to obey Him.

Yes, everything is development, no more, no less, but it is the true Way.
Sometimes, it seems that I can not bear, I can not stand myself, I do not understand, but then by faith, He shows how and enables me so that the decision is always to move forward, and follow Him; and not ourselves, and nothing and none of the world.
So that the choice is just Him and His Body, as it shall be.
So I see and think, The Lord sustains Himself before everything and sustains us as well, and I thank him for his mercy and for encouraging me.
