1 Nebuchadnezzar the king made an image of gold, whose height was threescore cubits, and the breadth thereof six cubits: he set it up in the plain of Dura, in the province of Babylon. Daniel 3:1

  1. No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon. Matthew 6:24

    The theme of the post is idolatry, whether it be for statues, money, gold, silver, people, political and economic systems, philosophies, religions, animals, things, etc.
    And the Lord Jesus gives the credit of the coin to Caesar, be understood of the things of the world, and the credit of the things of God to God.
    Material goods are temporary, and the authorities of the world who want to be worshiped cannot be compared with the authority of God.
    God is Spirit and His goods and gifts are spiritual and eternal.

    Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved. Acts 4:12
